Canon of the Seaside -Les Deux Crépuscules-
The sea as the source of life. In her portraits, snapshots, and photographs of objects washed up on the beach, Mayuko Ukawa depicts the cyclical nature of nature and suggests the vastness of the world.
"We receive gifts from the sea, which then change form and return to the sea. It is this repeating cycle that keeps us alive.
It's like a canon played by the sea."

MAYUKO UKAWA
WONDERLAUND
I feel attatched to the city. I had an unforgettable experience when I first visited there. It was summer and I was nineteen. Years later, I became a photographer and I began to photograph New York. I am watching the changes, scenes and people through my several visits to the city.
