My series “PORTRAITS,” which photographs beach-borne debris, has been selected for the Longlist of the FORM Photo Award 2025, an international photography prize organized by FORM Gallery (based in France and Ukraine).

About the award

The prize is supported by Scope Miami Beach 2025, Picter, photo basel, and FORM Magazine. The jury includes Darius Himes (International Head of Photographs, Christie’s) and Virginia Damtsa (co-founder of Riflemaker; director of photo basel), among others. Winners are presented at SCOPE during Miami Art Week.

This project is a path I don’t often take: working from a clear concept, photographing with a 4×5 Linhof on color negative film, and printing each image by hand. I submitted the work to understand how it might be received internationally. Although it was not ultimately selected as a winner, I’m encouraged that it was recognized among highly contemporary entries from around the world, and I will continue to refine the series.
