This exhibition presents two bodies of work: “Portraits”  — a series in which washed-ashore objects are photographed with a large-format 4×5 camera as if they were human portraits. “Seaside Canon”  — images of the sea, sky, and human life in between, depicting the cyclical rhythm of nature that ebbs and flows. By weaving together these perspectives on the shoreline, the exhibition forms a single composition — a photographic “Suite.”

Corporate Photography I had the honor of photographing President Adachi and the executive team of Canon Marketing Japan (Canon MJ)  for their Integrated Report  (a stakeholder publication) as well as for the corporate brochure Canon MJ Today . This commission came to me thanks to Canon MJ’s policy of “valuing photographers with whom they share a connection,” along with my ongoing work in advertising photography. Canon MJ is a large corporation that handles not only cameras but also copiers, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and much more. Even though I have worked with them regularly, it is not often that I have the chance to engage directly with the company’s leadership. Announcement The RF85mm F1.4 L VCM  has now been officially announced. For this promotion, I photographed using the new 85mm lens together with the existing models in the series — 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm — set against the backdrop of Chigasaki , where I am currently based, and Tokyo .
